We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with expertise in programming CNC lathes and mills using Mastercam. This role is crucial to our build-to-print machining operations, requiring a strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and efficient programming to achieve high-quality, precise parts while providing accurate time estimates for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for lathes and mills using Mastercam, based on technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Tooling Selection: Determine appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize machining efficiency and product quality.
- Production Time Estimation: Calculate and provide estimated machining times for parts to assist in quoting and production scheduling.
- Machine Setup: Collaborate with machinists to set up machines, ensuring programs run smoothly and producing first articles for validation.
- Process Optimization: Analyze machining processes to improve cycle times, reduce waste, and increase overall production efficiency.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve programming or machining issues, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of programs, tool lists, and setup sheets for repeatability and consistency in future jobs.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, ensuring all work meets industry standards and customer requirements.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC programming for both lathes and mills.
- Proficiency in Mastercam for CAD/CAM programming.
- Hands-on experience with G-code/M-code programming and editing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of machining operations, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with a range of CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Siemens).
- Soft Skills:

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines or Swiss-style lathes.
